In 1992, kama'aina Warren Stenberg began a new fine-art painting career following early retirement from years of graphic arts, printing and advertising work. He studied art at Honolulu Academy of Arts & University of Hawaii with leading artists Jas. Goodman, Howard Farrant, George Woollard, Harry Tsuchidana, Dodi Warren, Dennis Morton, Joseph Nordmann, T.M. Nicholas and Paul Levitt.
Today, Warren reflects on a rewarding and exciting decade-plus and celebrates by producing a wide range of landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, portraits and non-representational work in oils, acrylics, gouache, collage and mixed media. |

Stenberg's work has been exhibited in numerous one-man and juried shows and has frequently received awards including the prestigious Grumbacher Gold Medallion and several recent Best of Show. He is an avid plein air (outdoors) painter.
Warren is represented by Haleiwa Art Gallery, North Shore Marketplace, Haleiwa, Oahu, Cedar Street Gallery, Honolulu, Nohea Gallery @ Wardwarehouse and Kailua, and Island Treasures Koko Marina. Stenberg is past president, Windward Artists Guild and a member of Assn, of Hawaii Artists, Windward Arts Council, Hui 'o PAA and Hawaii Consortium for the Arts. He resides with wife Carolyn in Kailua (Oahu) and paints in his studio there. Works are in private collections in Hawaii, N. America, Europe + permanent collections of Pacific Beach Hotel (HTH Corp) and St Francis Medical Center, Honolulu. |
